- Hi Lynne,
When I teach Reiki, I keep close to the essence and roots of this healing method, as I think the unique blessing of Reiki is how easy, safe and straightforward it is.
However I am open to others doing things differently and when considering different styles I ask all the practical questions: what is this method, where does it originate, what does it do, how does it work etc. and I want to know things about the teacher and school's ethics, values, qualifications and experience. I hope this helps and answers your question.

I think there are quite a few of us Natal Hypnotherapy practitioners on here. I think Khim may have already answered your questions but it is a very effective and powerful use of self-hypnosis to help women and their partners relax and work with the sensations of labour as opposed to tensing up and panicking and suffering from the whole thing. Sadly it is needed very badly into today's birthing culture.

i know!! Being a midiwfe, I wish I had been able to use Natal Hypnotherapy for a better birth experience with my first birth.
I now teach and support women and partners using such a simple ,drug free effective techniques which Maggie Howell had developed from her own births' experiences.
We are UK grown-Natal Hypnotherapy.Had so many couples who have used the simple tools so effectively.
Wish they take all thses alternatives into hospital to reduce CS rtaes!!
